At a Glance: Set on the northwest shore of Lake Sunapee, Sunapee is a wonderful resort community which includes Sunapee Harbor and the village of George Mills. Population: 2,733.

Originally an agricultural area, then manufacturing, today the main focus is recreation.

Overview: Sunapee Harbor is a great place to spend a summer day with fun shops, a narrated boat tour, kayak rentals, ice cream, waterfront dining and a town boat launch.

The newly created Riverwalk offers an interesting and scenic stroll. Live music is regularly scheduled on weekends.

The MV Mount Sunapee takes passengers for delightful narrated cruises around the lake. The MV Kearsarge, an antique paddle wheeler, offers nightly dinner cruises. There is another public boat launch facility in the village of Georges Mills.
